im not trying to say the pack didnt lose because i think they did. but it was a close game that onside kick that was almost made could have been the turning point with i think it was 6:43 in the 4th quarter remaining rodgers took the snap and had a nice run out of bounds.. the clock didnt stop. did you notice it?

I'm going to use this opportunity to toss in my two cents worth about the NFL and how it is operating. I see three goodly sized issues developing or existing which, if not brought under control, may well irritate fans enough to make them start losing serious interest.

First and foremost is this juvenile peeing contest between the NFL Network and the major cable system providers. Not only should both sides work more diligently to a resolution, but the NFL Network needs to grow up and stop acting like children. I accidentally tripped into the NFL Network site and was aghast to find all the offered ways to plead with Congress and the FCC on behalf of the NFL Network. The network needs a goodly dose of maturity, and should learn to solve this dispute in an appropriate manner, instead of withholding games from loyal fans and then begging them to write to Congress.

Second, it's WAY past time for the NFL to dispense with its time honored tradition of using 'amateur' referees. Last evening's Dallas/Green Bay game is yet more evidence that the system is outdated. Professional full time refs, along with changes in the play review option are long overdue. The PI call against Green Bay was downright cheesy (no pun intended) and should have been reviewed. Unfortunately, the NFL is far more concerned with managing to fit game time into an allotted time slot for network coverage than it is in having fair and unbalanced referee work.

Third, it's time for the NFL to start with some serious disciplinary action for its 'young stars' who don't know how to behave off the field as well as on the field. If the NFL doesn't start taking some serious action soon, the once stellar reputation of the NFL and its player employees will start to resemble that of Ladies Roller Derby.

Just my two cents worth.

(Yes, I AM a season ticket holder, and at $320 per game plus incidentals, I get crabby that I don't get more for my money.)

I didn't see that, however, if it happened with more than 5 minutes left in the game, out of bounds plays only momentarily stop the clock. Once the ball is set, the clock starts again. Also, if he wasn't moving forward when he went out, the clock doesn't stop at all.

As it is, every game has moments which could be called either way. If that pass interfearence isn't called, does that mean that Dallas doesn't just keep methodically moving the ball downfield for the score?

When it comes down to it, Green Bay had the ball with 5:35 left and a third and 1 on the Dallas 35. They failed to make the play, and had to settle for a field goal. Dallas took the ensuing kickoff and marched off the next 4 plus minutes off the clock and got a field goal as well. Green Bay had their chances, and they failed.

The Pack lost because the coach is a Mc Idiot and blew the game. This coaching failures were not covered up by Favre this time, some fools were calling him a coach of the year candidate and I was wondering if they even watched football. Mc Idiot like Sherman before him are total failures as head coaches.

Romo played a great game, this kid is maturing and if he stays healthy will be a star in this league for many years to come. TO played well at times, had a few drops and gave away a sure TD.

The TO take away at the beginning of the game was the Jerry factor call. Jerry gets two calls a game to keep him from whining and crying to the media after the game (he learned this from Mac Brown), it has been going on for years at Texas Stadium.

Yep, here we go! The so-called TO strip should have been flagged for pass interference against GB, be cause your boy was all Over TO before the ball ever got there! When Rodgers went out of bounds, the clock stopped, and it isn't like he could have done any thing at that point! But, you whine if it makes you feel any better!
