In Italy a man who killed 4 boy because was driven while was drunk, now has create is own fashion clothes line (he is not in clink, he lives in house arrest). A mother who killed her 2 years old son, now probably will create a fashion baby clothes line! A boy accused to have killed her girlfriend, will write a book (for 50,ooo euro). Italy is shocked: we can't able to stop this mechanism that makes of killers super stars....It happens also in UK? How you face this phenomenon? Sorry for my english!

The UK tends to be quite sensible when it comes to such types.Infamy is not the same as fame and most of these people spend their lives trying to disassociate themselves with their crimes once they have served a jail term. Some get stalked and hounded and they end up under police protection.Examples would be the killers of James Bulger and Ian Huntley's Girlfriend Maxine Carr.

It doesn't seem to happen as much in the UK. I think there would be a national outcry if someone like Ian Huntley (Soham killer) tried to write an autobiography and make a profit from it.

I'd like to say that no-one would buy it, but the sad fact is that the UK are a nation of ghouls and it would probably be a best seller.

No generally killers are not popular in the UK, a recent one who has murdered possibly up to 9 nine children was beaten up and put in hospital, a few of them kill themselves which at least means we do not have to pay for them...

Killers arent made into celebrities, they just become 'infamous' due to what they have done. And then they get beaten up in jail which is great.
