Funny, I was just thinking about that a few days ago and thought that the inventor should be hung, but did not know who he was - until I read about him in the paper. Unfortunately he died early 1900's! Hate the things but really can see no alternative.

Except for the annoying tangling part, wire hangers are a gift from God. I used to have a booklet from Popular Mechanics Magazine on a zillion things to make with wire hangers. I always carry a few in the trunk of my car, in case I run into some McGyver situation.

The wire ones are, that's for sure.I can never pick just one up, ever! It's brothers and sisters insist on coming along too.I always lose my temper with them.Give me a necklace to untangle, or a piece of string and I'm happy, ask me to untangle some coat hangers and I flip.Argh!

Yes, they were designed as 'anti-gravitational devices' to spoil the work of God through His Divine Plan to have us be truly aware of reality of Nature and of all things that spring from it (and Where an of Why).
Satan's other plan was that of Wardrobe making, MFI and so on, as his way of hiding his 'Co-Co-Co-Co-Coat-hangers' from the site of God.

Switch to wooden ones. you can get a bunch at linens n things and they look so much nicer in your closet. Throw away all the wire ones life is too short to put up with it.
