Is it old? Because that might be the prob. Just send to Apple, they'll give you a brand new battery, doesn't cost too much.

If it's new, then it might just be because of your settings. On the iPod go to Settings > Brightness. Is it all the way up? Because that takes a SERIOUS toll on the battery. Turn it all the way down.

Also, go to Settings > Backlight Timer when you're just listening to music. Click on 2 seconds or 5 seconds. Because if you have the backlight on all the time (especially with a high brightness level), it runs up the battery.

Also, videos themselves eat up the battery like crazy. Nothing really to do about that though.

My iPod usually dies at the end of the day, so I have to recharge it every day. It's just the way it is, unfortunatly. Oh well.

Hope I helped! =D
