I don't pretend ti understand Islam, but I find it interesting that it's fine to have a photo of someone who is named after the prophet Mohammed, but not to name a toy after a child in the class who is also named after the prophet?

I can imagine a Muslim guy chasing a camera man with a sword..

Only if he is a water carrier. No joke!

Go visit any Muslim country where you will find 'water carriers' in the street. Frequent in Eygpt. They carry huge metal urns of water and brighly dressed. You are forbidden to take photos - it steals their souls! Take a photo and your likely to get harrassed.

That rule only applies to the Prophet. Having the same name doesn't hold that significance

No but evey pic living things (dead or live, mean human, animals) is forbidden in Islam. except when needed

one would think so.And that is ridicules.
makes Christianity look a whole lot better.
I don't recall any one being lashed for naming their teddy bear Jesus.
