To those who say its Sudan laws ....
What about all the muslim clerics in mosques in UK, slanging off about us! Why dont we instantly throw them in jail? Seems the Sudanese can try and jail within 24hours ... we should take their lead.

You have to remember there are still Brits out there and would be in danger should we react too quickly. The Sudanese are too volatile and quick to riot, best we pull out all westerners and leave them to it and see how they get on then.

So, all the people on here are familiar with the Sudanese penal code? They know it's a law? They are familiar with Sharia Law? Which, like Islam (any religion really) is open to interpretation. How exactly, are you supposed to KNOW the law when it depends on how someone feels that day. It probably went something like this:

I have a complaint.

against the government (draws pistol)

no no, against a white christian woman

what did the cracker biatch do (holsters pistol)

she named a teddy bear Mohammed and insulted and offended me, now I'm doubting my faith

Sounds like a crime to me, call swat. Lets get this biatch.

now to the prosecution office:

Well Osama, it doesn't really seem like a crime.

That's why you are not the Senior prosecuter, did you not read the complainants statement. I see three offences there, we're pressing for lashing, we haven't had a good white woman lashing in a long time. hehehe

But sir, I've read the texts, and they don't really indicate a crime.

Well if you look at it this way, and interpret it like this, then there is a crime, and I'm older than you, so there fore smarter. We prosecute.

2 days later.

I got a call from the embassy, they want us to drop the charges.

I will not lose face for some diplomatic cronie, we press ahead.

In court

How long do you expect this trail to take.

at most a couple of hours your honour. This is a clear cut case of racial hatred and insulting the prophet.

After arguments.

I really don't think this is a crime, but seeing as the media is involved and we can't lose face in the international community, we will give her a token 15 day with time served and deport her, for her own safety because someone else a zealous as the prosecuter might kidnap and behead her.

Case closed.

It is horrific for that poor woman but she should have known better. Even I know not to do that and I didn't go out there to work and she did break the law.

What would you say about immigrants in this country who break the law pleading that they didn;t know about it....should they be let off too?

EDIT: They do. The government has brought in and convicted people of Incitement to Hatred laws. Muslims have been put in prison for more than 15 days for preaching their bile.

If you go to the Sudan and break the law, you should face the consequences. Being British doesn't mean you can break the law in other people's countries and expect the British Government to save you!

15 days in chokey ain't too bad. I feel real pity for that poor Saudi girl, but our government ain't never going to complain about that.....defence contracts etc. Probably had to get Saudi permission to complain to Sudan about our adventurous divorcee.

I can't see Brown making a stand of anything. The most likely thing we will see is the backs of his heels!
