The Saint, the Avengers and the Dukes of Hazzard (the boys played by two 42 year olds). pretty bad huh? How about doing movies of some of the TV westerns? I know they did Maverick but there's lots more.

Dukes was horrible

hell the only person who (i think) came back for the movie was a very small cameo by Enos (a deputy at the roadbloack towards the end)

Most of the cast asked people not to go see it they hated it.

but the one movie that had NOTHING to do with the tv series except for its name was Miami Vice..

Personally i dont see what people have againsrt Charlies Angels or some of the other ones listed.
I thought that was well done for a movie based on that series.

Same for Starsky and Hutch, hell they even had the original cast do a cameo.

We must blame Charlie's Angels for every TV series/movie that came after it. I enjoy Ms. Diaz and her booty, but this set it off. Mod Squad was bad and boring. Dukes I didn't take serious cause I didn't take the series serious. Starsky and Hutch was lame. I wonder how Get Smart will fare. I think Steve Carrell can only go up from Evan Almighty. Westerns? Like Bonanza? Iol Maybe the Rifleman with dark undertones with Christian Bale or Joaquin Phoenix....

Starsky and Hutch and the dukes of Hazzard

both were trying to capture the imagination of people who were teenagers in the 80's... without actually understanding that people grow up, and their tastes change- their viewing preferences becomes more sophisticated.

hence... Cr@p movies

If you had asked about films made into cr@p TV series, there is 1 outstanding contender

'M*A*S*H' - FANTASTIC wonderful, great funny Film

was turned into a Dire, awful, dreadful TV series

Mission Impossible - you knew it was going to be bad when the entire team (except Tom) got killed off in the first 5 minutes.
Lost in Space....Joey Tribianni finally got a part!

Serenity (it was sort of a finale for Firefly because the show was cancelled) It was one of the worst movies I've watched in years.. the dialog was horrid.
