just a curious question.... my boyfriend wont help me fix my car!! i got this pos from a buy here pay here lot and im fusterated. i cant afford to take it to a shop. i have been asking him to fix my brakes since july and its about to start snowing!! am i an ungreatful b"itch for wanting my car fixed after this long!!! how can i start doing this myself!!!

its funny that im a lathe/mill operator in a machine shop and i make parts for trucks and atvs all day but i dont know how to fix a car or even know what the parts do that im making lol...
my boyfriend works on cars and has a project car sitting in our garage!!! we got into a fight cause he doesnt want me to buy a new car after i pay off the buy here pay here piece of crap. but he wont help me fix it either.. im stuck lol...

Not every guy can fix cars component such as the brakes. I can't and I wouldn't want to even if I could, because its the brakes. if something goes wrong, brake failure is one of the worst failure that can happen while your car is mobile.
For the sake of your own safety, take it to someone who's qualified to do it.
But I do know a guy who can take his entire brake system apart and put it back together, and it took him years to learn all this stuff. He didn't immediately start off on crucial components such as the brakes. And what drives him to learn is his passion of working on cars. He does alot of performance modification himself, that's where he learns it.
People like me, and probably you too, who doesn't have the passion to work on cars that way, its probably best for us to leave the repairing job to some qualified technician

You can buy a book for your car that will tell you step by step how to fix your brakes. Front brakes are not hard to do. You will need some special tools but you can rent them from the parts store most of the time.
girls who can fix there own car's are hot as hell

I just started taking apart old cars and trying to put them back together, and listening to the old guys when I was hanging out in the garage. But my dad always built race cars and what not.
Maybe he doesn't know how to fix them!! some guys just say they know when they really don't.
Brakes are easy to replace, do it soon before it tears more stuff up, cause it will.
