I'd say the most overrated album of this decade is Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park... I'm not saying that it's not a good album, but it's too overrated I think... It went DIAMOND!!!

You can pick whatever album by them you like, but I agree 100% with the answerers who picked My Chemical Romance. They received a ridiculous amount of buzz as being the future of alternative music.
Because of the buzz they were getting, I was SO excited to check them out - to see what the buzz was about and to hear the industry "up-and-comers."
OMG. I was so incredibly disappointed to actually listen to them, and find they were little more than the label's Next Big Thing and it was simply manufactured angst and a "Gap-Goth" image being thrown at us and called "alternative."

Sorry Nickleback fans, nothing against you personally but that band in my opinion is one of the most mind-boggling phenomenons that I have EVER encountered. The word "suck" is almost a compliment in describing these guys.
I just can't understand the success of 3 Doors Down or Poppa Roach either. It literally hurts my brain to ponder it.

Hybrid Theory is an excellent call that would have been hard to beat....that is until The Black Parade reared its ugly head. The thing that separates them is obvious. HT had a few decent moments. BP makes me long for deafness.
