San Javier airport is just outside of Murcia, its an old Spanish air force airport which has been converted, its a small and easy airport but there is not many duty free shop`s there at the moment as they are extending it so make sure you get your goodies before you leave.

I hope this helps

It is the airport of Murcia (MJV- Murcia-San Javier),
situated at the western coast of the Mar Menor, just opposite La Manga. Actually it is the base of the Spanish Airforce Academy, opened to civilian traffic.

It is on the coast in Murcia, sometimes advertised as Murcia Airport, Ryanair fly there among others. Parking is not very good (very small tarmaced area, and the rest dirt track) Brits that live in Murcia, the Costa Calida and Torrevieja areas use it as it's nearer than Alicante for them.
