I'm staying home, hoping for a white Christmas. But tomorrow I'm leaving for Munich too! I've never been to Europe so this is going to be a real treat for me. We're taking a river boat and cruising the Rhine for 9 days to hit the Christmas markets. I just wish the dollar has more value than it does now!
Have a wonderful time in Munich!

Going to see the daughter get married and then over to the mother in laws house for christmas eve. Christmas day is spent at home and some friends usually drop by.

I will be going home. My parents live just a few miles from me and that's where we have our Christmas celebration.

Have a fabulous time in Munich! I would love to visit there again.

Family time looks like it will be the Sunday before Christmas. That means a quiet Christmas here at home.

We have everyone here on Christmas day...In-laws, Out-laws, cousins, etc. Who ever wants to come. Especially those who have no where to go and want to be with "family"(examples: divorced sister, children are grown and gone. Widowed Dad, living alone.) We have up to 20 folks come through the door. Some just to sign the table cloth. That's a 25 year tradition in this house. I have a white twin bed sheet with red lace attached to the edges. I put it on one of the tables with laundry marking pens all around. Everyone who comes through our door on Christmas Day, signs and dates, the table cloth. During the year, I embroider the names in different colors. It's a beauty after 25 years. You can see how the children have progressed in their hand writing. Some of the folks aren't with us anymore...ie, my mom, two aunts and a cousin. Some of the young ones have gotten married and added to our table cloth. Each person signs each year. They can look back over the years and know they have been part of a very special tradition and a very special family.

Staying at home, staying in the country too and most likely having relatives over. Might even be working.

Our plans are still evolving. I may be away from home working during the holidays, or maybe not. So, I'm preparing to be in town with my family....but they all know I may have to excuse myself from our get-togethers.

My oldest daughter was just here for Thanksgiving. She can not travel home for Chistmas, she will be working. My parents might be traveling to my sister's house this year. We'll still have my husband's family and our friends and neighbors to celebrate with.

I worry about my youngest daughter a little. Her boyfriend is just finishing up his leave, he came for Thanksgiving and starts travel back to Asia today. I know she is going to miss him, and would love to have him here for Christmas.

I have done all the things you have asked. I prefer to go to my relatives on my side of the family. Creating more warm memories with those you love, and love you back.

It was fun leaving the Country, and learning different customs, but I missed my family and became homesick. There is nothing better in life than family.
