I was created by God Almighty, There may be people on this earth that believe they came from pond slime just because they act that way. But the truth of the matter is that we are all created in the image of God the Father, who sent his Son to die on the cross for the forgiveness of all of our sins, and anyone who chooses to follow the Savior will be saved, and anyone who chooses not to will be condemed. God does not send anyone to hell, people choose to go there, and if they would stop and really realize what kind of a place that it is, and that they will be there for ever they may rethink their position, and choose life with Christ. But some are so fooled because they think that they are wise when they are nothing more than fools.

No, not 10,000 years -
either 6000 (4004 bc to 2007 ad)
or 65 (if, as some believe, the universe was created on November 13th, 1942, by 4:20 am, with all memories of people living, all books recording history, and all records buried in the ground were created by God at that time - just as proveable as creation.)
Darwin and evolution do not believe random - they believe environment driven - many changes only some of which improve and survive the species.

Darwin never said we came from pond slime, and evolution doesn't deal with origins of life. It deals with survival processes. You wouldn't be alive without it, nor would you be able to eat a beefalo steak with some hydroponic vegetables and feed the leftovers to your hybridized wolf (aka your dog). Evolution is all around us, why's it so hard to believe in?
P.S. I also believe in God. When you really know what you're talking about there's no contradictions.

Over several billion years, yes I think I came from pond slime. There's evidence in fossils that supports the idea that species change over time. There's an entire timeline of human history created by the tools, art, and bones that we've discovered. Once you start talking about less humanoid species though, then it becomes really hard to trace our direct ancestry because you're looking for species that are just slightly different, and they're from over 200,000 years ago. That's how long it took just to go from humanoid to modern human. Over four billion years, a lot of random things can happen. It was only a matter of time until the roll of the dice came just right and a dominant species came about.

Maybe not pond slime, but I find it difficult believing that there is a God, even though I believed there is all up until just a few years ago.
I struggled believing in God when my life is so dismal and never changes, despite my prayers to him... but I kept on believing anyway...
...what later really got me is how much people get away with in church, with all their double lives and all. That is the biggest stumbling block. Some people in the church as 10,000 times wilder than a lot of non-religious people I know!
I don't know I guess when a person has to act so conservative for so long they just get really wild, but they still want to be a prestigious member in the church so they work both sides of the fence. This, above all else, makes it difficult for me to believe in God. I can cope with a dismal, unfortunate life. Heck I can deal with financial hardships... but hypocrisy? Gimme a break. It is the biggest motivation killer.

Charles Darwin recanted everything he said before he died...did you know that.?
And it take more "faith" to believe everything just happened randomly, than by design...so it you believe that you have more faith than I do.
God said that the "evidence" of His design is all around you"...for all the world to see. He also said "the fool says in his heart there is no God". I choose to observe what I see is obvious....the latest discoveries of how complicated a simple cell really is proves it. Did you know that science cannot duplicate it because each cell has individual specialized little engines running around in it for the purpose it was "designed"...and that is just one cell!
The "big bang" theory was disproved long ago....you have to have the whole universe expanding all the time to make that work...and the universe is instead "winding down" and losing energy...why do you suppose that is?
I'll tell you why...because God has a plan...and an end to the earth....so trust in your theories if you want....I will choose to see the evidence of God, and put my faith in Him.
Maybe I misunderstood your question...but I know I came designed and planned and created by God.

We are ALL pond slime. But it took far more than 10,000 years for us to crawl up upon the beach. The pond slime began crawling to the shoreline hundreds of millions of years ago--even before the dinosaurs--they too, like us, came from pond slime. This was God's way. He loaded the oven, put in the dough, and when the bake was through--WA-LAA! there was life, of all kinds, everywhere and in every direction. And we are still just a bug in the pond.

No I don't think we came from pond slime. I don't actually think we will ever know how this earth was made so I don't waste my time on theoretical stuff. I just try to be a good person every day.

I personally didn't come from pond slime. I came from my mother's body, who came her mother's body, etc. etc. My ancestors were apes, their ancestors were small mammals running under the feet of the dinosaurs, and their ancestors were sea creatures that decided land was a better place to survive than the ocean.
Personally, I think that the powers that be (or god, or what have you) created the 'pond slime', knowing that eventually it would turn into human beings. Maybe we're not even the last stop, but a middle one, and we'll eventually evolve into something else that's more adapted to this world than we are.
But hey, that's just me.

Hell no. My boyfriend and I always marvel at the fact that people can actually believe that (that we came from pond slime).
All you have to do is take a walk in the forest, and if that doesn't convince you, I suppose nothing will.
I would think the Amazon rainforest might be a good place to start.
Or how about the ever-popular "The birds needed wings so they ADAPTED and GREW WINGS" HUH!!!!!!! Right!
And I suppose they started out as fish, and they wanted to walk on dry land, so they grew feet.........etc, etc.
