I see tv shows where a lot of families have 12 kids and they are related by blood. The parents always say they want a big family. Don't you think they should just adopt kids? Do you think the human population is too high? Because most of there kids are going to have kids and so on. I think its just too much

Some people should be allowed to have 12 kids. Some should not be allowed to have ANY. The way I see it, some people have kids for no good reason at all. Perhaps they think they're supposed to or something, but they are often horrible parents. On the other side, I know a couple who could love 20 kids and raise them well.

Maybe everyone ought to have to take a test. I'm no longer married, so my daughter lives somewhere else. I don't want to do it again (be a parent) but just wanting to shouldn't qualify a person.

I think there needs to be a big cultural change. It's still an American ideal, and in other cultures as well, to get married and "raise a family". It's even cool to be a single mother now, and everyone gives you lots of attention and support if your a teenage mother. Then our government wants to promote poor people having kids by giving them money, often more money than they can earn with their limited skills, and huge tax breaks. I don't think parenting classes are the answer. I think we need to teach people at a young age that it's okay, and even cool, to not have kids at all ever. It's fine to NOT procreate, and I really think the government needs to force people to work in order to get assistance. I don't care if they have to clean the streets, make them do something for the money they take out of MY wallet.

sadly i think there should be some kind of regulation that is legitimated by the legal institutions because overpopulation is not productive for the development of whole society and world. the kids will be cared less and the burden on government will increase, and as a whole the entire economic and children's education quality will be less valued. But the better way than enforcing the citizens to control the number of kids they have in family would be promoting and encouraging them to participate in helping the social problems by the indirect and voluntary motivation.

Yeah it's pretty pathetic. I've been preaching this for years. It's like people can't step back out of their own minds for a second and just look at the world as a whole, and realize that we are very overpopulated. I think having kids right now is just selfish. I don't care how much money you have. Creating a new person just to spend money on is just as bad as breeding a new puppy when there are shelters full of puppies that need help and are already here. Selfish, selfish, selfish!

I think that it should be against the law for people to have a lot of kids when they can't afford to have them. I think that it's ridiculous for people to keep having kids that they can't support. They just get the government to do it for them. I think that it's time for someone to put a stop to all of that. I'm not talking about one or two kids, I'm talking about when people have as many as you have described.

It should be up to the individual, but there should be a law that if you are on public assistance, that the Welfare will only HELP PARTIALLY SUPPORT 3 of them, 4 tops.

not illegal, because it is your life

but they should set up programs to encourage people to have fewer kids. for example, rather than gov't paying for all your kids education, gov't pays for education for up to five of your kids. if you choose to have more, you pay for their education out of your own pocket.

no, i don't think the law should tell me what to do with my body or my life. YES i think parenting classes should be mandatory - i mean... we have to get a license to drive! the least we could do is get a learner's permit to parent!
