I'm not saying they are unfortunate enough to have acne all over their body and thick braces, but someone much less good looking than yourself (perhaps dorkier, very small or very big shoulders, very skinny or quite chubby, or just plain looking, etc.)

Of course! Who am I to judge? =)

If I was heartup. Frankly, I have. Some were blind dates.

I see many plain looking people out there that fit into this question. If their personality compensated for their lack of good looks, then there is always plastic surgery.

Remember, people can and do change over time.

The shy girl with freckles in grade school became a knockout in High School.

I have and found it a good thing most of the time. Some people that are not very handsome/beautiful have self esteem issues that run very deep and can be unhealthy.
But my daughters father (even thought it didn't work out) wasn't very good looking but we connected and he was very smart. Now my daughter is 9 gets verry good grades and is intelligent and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Also he had good things about his appearances that our daughter inherited and she is beautiful.

As long as this person is not a weirdo, If they were kind and loving, affectionate, a good person that was smart, and had good morals, and a steady job then yes, I would date someone that was not as cute as myself. I put more on they inside of a person that the outside of a person. The person has to have a good personality and be able to make me laugh. Both of my daughters are beauty queens and models and they are dating guys that are average looking because they are good to them. They can make them laugh and they have fun together, they are smart and kind men.

I have dated very very good looking men and some not so good looking. I found that what really matters is the inside. Some good looking people are really screwed up inside. Don't judge a book by its cover!!!

Dating always (for me) depends on personality. Must be able to laugh at even the most rediculous jokes, must be VERY open minded....I'm weird. Looks are not everything.

if you set standards on how someone should look before you date them then you miss out on whats important....the true feeling between you and the person, not the feeling in your pants but the feeling in your heart
