Why are some people SO MEAN? Do you think "mean" people act that way because it just simply amuses and satisfies them, do they actually LIKE being mean? Do you think "mean" people act that way without realizing it, or are they just mean because its just their normal daily ways?
Back when I was in high school I once had this girl just run into my shoulder, on purpose, and practically knocked me to the floor. I almost started screaming at that girl right there and it was so embarassing, I doubt she even cared. And my friends told me that same girl would just walk in between them and even stepped on their shoes purposely, I can't imagine why anyone could be so inconsiderate of others.. what's up with this type of behavior?

There are several reasons why people are just mean. Some didn't experience any love, trust, etc. from adults growing up. If your own parents don't care about you, it makes it hard for you to have sympathy for others. Others are abused, ignored, etc. at home during their developing years. They strike out at school. Finally, some are insane. (caused by genes, drugs, environmental factors, etc.) . They find delight in others' pain and discomfort.
If you can't imagine why people do one neg. behavior, think of something you do that annoys others and ask yourself why you don't care.

In my perception i think that some people are either jealous with some of ur good quality and they dont want u to be always on top and try lating u down so i recommend u that if somebody is tring to get mean wth u or tring to be smart teach them lesson in the same way they are tring with u.and plz just don't give such importance to irrelevants stuff becoz when u ar going towards success people tri to halt u with some or the other cheap activities make ur self strong and move ur life smoothly.............take care

There is no logic behind our behavior. Whatever you do, don't cry about it. Get even, right then and there. You can also wait for next time when the tables are turned.
I once stayed in shelter in NYC, and one of the girls turned off the lights with full knowledge that I wasn't done going through my locker. There's no explanation why, she just did it. I guess it was in her nature.
So one night as I was heading for work, I saw her with her locker open and she was doing something; without a second thought it was lights out.
Karma- without it there would be no justice.
People would walk all over you without it.
They can't complain, they know why you did it.

Every person is so different and what influences on how you are is how you were raised. Some people past thru difficult things when they are growing up or maybe they are not loved that much so that makes them act that way, to get attention... or to be popular. This also has to do a lot with psychological issues.

Someone has treated them like that. Not everyone who was mistreated, does this, but many do. A very few are sociopaths, the common name for a psychopath. They have no understanding of other people's feelings. They ultimately fail in life for reasons they do not understand. At this time in history, psychologists believe they are just born that way. For the rest of us (96%) we just need to move out of their way, ignore them whenever possible, and put them in their places when you can't.

People are mean like that because they tend to get away with it and have a large network of friends that are just as mean and support their every action.
Look at gang members. They do what they do because their peers approve it, even if the majority of others don't.

Because mena people are already so bored with their pathetic lives and know nothing better apart from that i feel like they are ahem starving for attention, i had a girl once in elementry school pick on me from the time i started there till the say i left 8th grade, and now well......lets just say her bitchin attitude left her in a worse off position than me......too bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dont worry dont harm anyone in that manner and you're swell to go, but you probably do that anyways.

I think they both do it on purpose and naturally. The boy next door is mean 2 my brother on purpose and the president of our co-op just naturally comes accross as mean.

most of the time females are very self consious and it causes them to envy and be jealous of any other girl who they think is compitition so they will do anything to make you unhappy just never trust a girl she will always turn on you and they are all so evil i am 31 and never had a friend who didnt turn on me not one i am pretty and it really brings evil out in other girls.

Mean people do not want to see good things for others. They are so miserable with their lives, they want to pull everyone down with them.
