Does your Router have a WAN IP from your modem and ISP? Check and confirm with your ISP.

To check

On windows
Start-->Run
cmd
ipconfig /all

write down the IP address of the Default Gateway on your Local Area Network Adapter.

Open your web browser and type http://{IP address of Default Gateway}
ie http://192.168.0.1

The Web Administration Username and Password should be
Username: admin and the Password should be left blank by default.

Look under status settings for WAN or Public IP address and make sure it matches with your IP issued by your ISP. If not then renew the IP.

Also enable DHCP on the router if it is disabled.

Just because your computer is connected to the wireless network, doesn't mean that the router is connected to the internet:
Now, your ISP telling you that everything is fine tells me, that you have a connection failure between your modem, and your wireless router.
If this is an all in one gadget provided by your ISP you may have to call them back for configuration help, but if this is the standard Wall--> Modem --> Wireless router --> computer rig that most people have then you should take the following steps in order.
unplug wireless router from the system, and connect directly to the modem, Basically replace the router with your computer. see if you can connect to the net. if your ISP is right, then you will be able to see the world wide web.
assunming that you can: plug wireless router back in.
DIrections for this stuff tend to be similar, so modify as needed by your router. Connect by cable to the router. open a web browser.
enter 192.168.1.1 or whatever the default IP of the router is.
enter the user name and password. Default id usually some form of the word admin.
You want to configure your security settings, and make sure that thing is set to assign DHCP addresses.

On your computer, you need to make sure that the wireless card is set to accept dhcp from a gateway,

after all that you should be set.

I am not an expert, but I think something to do with the network setting, errr network bridge or some kind of it. You are connected to the network but the network setting is not set correctly to share the connection. Try to check network setting at the pc/laptop which the modem and router connected.

try connecting to the router through your ethernet cabling while having your wireless turned off. if that doesn't work then you know your router isn't configured properly and you might need to read the setup instructions. if your ethernet works then try right clicking your wireless connection and click repair.

i think this happened to me one time. i called someone and they told me to unplug everything and wait 10 secs ( usually i wait 15 secs) then you plug everything back in and probably it will work. works 50% of the time for me
