I reinstalled Windows XP MCE 2005 SP2. During re-installation the i386 registry files were not found. I prompted to find them the my re-installation CD or my PC didn't have them. I continued the reinstallation now IM encountering errors with my PC.

My media center Video, live TV option won't work. I get some weird JIT debugging error.

If this helps I have a dell deminsion 5100 and I used the red Windows XP MCE 2005 SP2 CD that came with the PC.

I can get online, open file, but i can't access my firewall either.

i thought about buying Windows XP MCE 2005 SP2 from a regular retailer but if I do i want to make sure that'll fix the problem

Contact whoever SOLD you the system and disc.

It might be the disc is a "recovery disc" not an "Install disc" and the people that supplied it should be able to help you get the PC back to factory state !

Your going to have to reistall your os as a format and install I bet you tried to reinstall overtop the one that was there saving your data. If you have windows PE disk you could boot and delete the systems files and then reinstall but unless you have that your going to have to nuke and pave.

Boot from your cd and format the drive and then reinstall the os.

Don't fret, just go to Windows Download Center below and do a registry test and repair, it is safe, free and given out by your O.S.' manufacturer.
