Can I learn how to make my own countdown ticker?

I want to make a countdown ticker like the ones you see in www.tickerfactory.com

However I want to make the graphics for it myself. Is there any place that can provide the script or at least let me upload my own graphics for the countdown?

I need someone like you when I'm building stuff -- I hate graphics but enjoy the programming.

You could use JavaScript with your own images or import them into Flash and make one there.
