ok theres this guy who i dont like at all but he likes me. well he ALWAYS hits me. like last month we played soccer for PE, i was never in his way but he would randomly come up to me and shove me really hard. i would just ignore him. he always pushes me and smacks me. I am a really shy girl so today everyone was shocked when i cussed him out lol. ok so in PE tday we were playing tennis. and he would hit the ball with his racket right infront on me so he could purposly hit me with the ball it hit my stomach so hard my stomach hurt and felt weird for like 10 minutes. i just gave him a dirty look, then he continued trying to hit me. He almost hit my face with the ball but it went passed me and i felt the ball go pass my hair. thats when i lost it i went up to his face [i'm short, hes like 6'2 lol] and i said "you really REALLY need to stop hitting me, i don't think its funny at all" he just continued smiling and giggling so thats when i cussed him out sooo bad lol. he wasnt laughing anymore he took my seriously and walked away because he got embarrassed. well anyway should i complain about him? when he threw that ball at my stomach it wasnt soft he threw it hard.

Melissa,
I'm going to tell you something funny you will find hard to believe. He does that because he likes you. He doesn't know how to appropriately get your attention, so he does what guys do -hit. It's backwards, but it's fairly common. We ladies have to teach them the proper way to get our attention. I think you may have accomplished that -however negatively. As a test of your character, tomorrow, tell him you apologize for the way you told him to stop, then thank him in advance for not hitting you any more.
Every day he doesn't slug you in one way or another, say "Hi" to him. That will lock it in place. You don't have to feel romantic about him, that's a separate issue. But do be polite. It's very powerful.

Guys have really weird ways to show girls that they like them. On the contrary, this one is typical. My opinion suggest that he only hits you to catch your attention, he likes it. He wants you to pay attention to him. Start a conversation with someone once you go into your PE class and act as though he DOESNT EVEN EXIST! Talk to a few friends at the same time. Act like your having the most exciting conversation. I bet you he will try to get your attention but its just gonna make him look really stupid. Ignore him, show him that you have a life and your not interested by not giving him your attention. Dont feed into what he does... Hope this helps, Good luck!

YES! Any form of abuse like this is wrong ! No person should treat another person like this. I think when a guy does this kind of stuff it is really bad because it has the outline of being an abusive spouse when he grows up. This guy needs to be stopped in his tracks right away because it sounds like he has already developed a very bad habit of hitting girls!

girl it might seem like a joke to him but an assault is still an assault no matter what kind of form its still assault... if you were close you could probably say that its normal to hurt each other but you don't even know him...
to put it simply... He bullies you around... he likes you because he thinks your a push over but what you did is right... don't let him turn you to a fool... complain about it... go to your school counsellor or principal or president which ever you have and complain its your right and also its your body were talking about here...

i hate to tell you, but that guy does NOT like you that much if he HURTS you! The old theory of boys liking you if they are mean to you is a load of bull, especially the older you get. If he hits you with force and it actually hurts you then those are NOT love hits! That is abuse. You tell him (in private-dont make a scene in front of people) that he needs to stop because it makes you uncomfortable and if he does not then you need to tell an authority.

Some boys don't have the confidence and social skills to talk to girls properly, he is trying to get your attention but doing it in a totally inappropriate way. If you react, even negatively, he's got what he wanted.. that is... your attention. He needs to know that he is behaving like a complete jerk. Yes, report him.

Tell him that their are other ways of getting your attention rather than hurting you. This should make him think and perhaps even shut up. Don't say you don't like him whatever becasue that would still be giving him attention, just in a negative way.

sounds like you could have got your point across to him now!! but if there is any other problem with him again you definately need to let someone in athority know about the history with this guy. but remeber he likes you and is young and doesnt know the right way to have interaction with you, this works with his buddy's, but he doesnt know what works with the young lady's yet, so maybe a helpful word of advice to him would be nice.

Yeah, if he keeps beating you up, you should tell someone. That's the weirdest expression of attraction I've heard of. He sounds immature.
"Face down in the dirt you say it doesn't hurt you say...'I've finally had enough!' " Actually, that's a good song.
