I live in the UK, and I'm interested to know what the general feeling is amongst the public in America. Would you prefer Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama? What do you make of the fact that two of the front-runners are a woman and a black man? Do you think this is a sign of a new, more liberal culture, or simply good PR? What do you think the Democrats' chances are of winning a general election? Share your views.

I'm not expressing any personal opinions, or attempting to start any arguments, I'm just a curious Brit!

It seems that at this moment in time that Hillary Clinton is ahead of all Democratic candidates with Obama coming in second. It is difficult to say at this time who will win the state of Iowa or New Hampshire, but the final test is how well will the candidates do in all of the states? I predict that finally Hillary will win to challenge the Republican for the presidency.
Why? She is the most electable because she has the most powerful political machine backed with the most money. Frankly, I do not believe that she would make a very good president and I would never vote for her. I believe that Senator Biden would be a better president but he is running far behind Hillary and Obama. Obama is a very bright young man but he lacks experience and he needs at least another 8-10 years before he can run successfully. I am neither a Democrat or Republican and frankly if there was a political party which represented the middle of the road in politics I would probably vote for its candidate; however, there is no such party so I will have to vote for either Democrat or Republican. I have not yet decided who will get my vote. The Republicans are running behind the Democrats because of President Bush's failures in Iraq and elsewhere. We will see.

I'm another Joe Biden guy. See if you actually pay attention, do a little research, and use a little logic. He is the best choice but so many people get caught up in Rightt wing left wing... You in the UK if you listen to both sides would think America is all righ wing even the left. The difference is so trivial but it keeps us divided!

Alas Joe wont get it. He is not rock star enough for most Americans to pay attention too!!

i myself will vote for edwards or biden. i believe john edwards is really looking to make a change in the way washington does things. our elections shouldn't be decided by who can raise the most money but who is really looking to make the USA what it is, and that is the most innovative and CARING country in the world. NOT WAR MON-GALLS. joe biden i believe also is well qualified and i like the way he looks at the iraq problem and other problems facing this country i just am afraid he like clinton are too entrenched in the washington way of doing things. it is the people of the USA that make this country strong and what we are and not the special interest groups and lobbyists that represent them. they have taken control of this country and we have to take our GREAT COUNTRY back. we are not always right on the world stage but we have to be true to ourselves and get back to being the worlds moral compass and light at the end of the tunnel. be the place that EVERYONE wants to be.
