In most cases, in order for a degree from a U.S. university to be recognized by most foreign ministries of education (and furthermore, by foreign educational institutions), the issuing university must hold accreditation by a recognized accrediting agency (i.e., Council of Higher Education Accreditation or U.S. Department of Education). In order to verify that a university holds this type of accreditation, visit the Council's website at www.chea.org. My suggestion is that you contact the EducationUSA advising center closest to you so that you can talk to a qualified educational adviser about your options. Find the center closest to you by visiting www.educationusa.state.gov. There is also a lot of information on that site about accreditation.
