For the person who used the 'Philly' analogy, I counter with the 'Buffalo' one:
The same team that Dallas almost lost to (and would have if it weren't for Buffalo blowing it) the Pats, on the same field, beat by a mere FORTY-SIX points, and that was just the game before the last one.
They'll definitely miss Colvin, but that allows them to play Adalius Thomas as an outside backer (his natural position). They had been splitting time between Tedy Bruschi & Junior Seau at the other inside spot for the first 11, which will help them be able to play more for the final 5 plus (plus they got Chad Brown to help spell them). But they also reactivated Troy Brown, who will definitely help on special teams, and can help out the secondary if Gay is hurt.
And as an SI article pointed out, the Pats have the 7th best rushing yardage in the league. The 'Pats rushing game stinks' argument carries no water, since their going to the passing so much is due to the fact that they can, not that they have to.
Remember Philly built that secondary to battle the Rams 'Greatest Show on Turf' years ago (using several high draft picks on defensive backs despite IIRC sending 3 of their 4 starters to the Pro Bowl). They might have been down this year, but the talent was there and it came out. And despite it coming out they only redirected the Pats attack to other recievers (Welker & Gaffney), not stopped it. The 'Boys' don't have the overall defensive talent or coaching the Eagles have. If they attempt to apply heavy pressure on Brady they don't have any corner that can single cover Moss, or a nickel guy who can cover Stallworth or Welker (based on who they opt to use their 2nd corner on). Come to think of it, they don't have a corner/safety combo to shut Moss down. Gonna put both top corners on Moss and try to cover Stallworth & Welker w/ nickel & dime backs and/or safeties? Good luck.
So for the 'Boys' to beat the Pats, it would have to be via shootout, and I like my chances with Brady far, far, more than with Romo. The Pats biggest threat continues to be the Colts.

Patriots now. However, the Dallas star is rising. If da boys make it to the superbowl and face pats, cowboys would whup'em real good.
The Pats will prove to be a one-hit wonder after this big years. They had better treasure this one. Everybody will have a solution for Randy Moss by next season.
How to get a special very tall basketball type who can really jump with Moss. Nobody really can now. Only solution now is busting his chops are stripping him as he catches it. It can be countered.
The Moss connection was brilliant and the essential difference. Jerry Jones and his deep pockets may find someone like that very soon. It is a straight-forward personnel and money thing. Thats the thing.

As of today! As of right now!! THE PATRIOTS, because they are still undefeated!! Even is they were to lose the next game, they would still be the better team, why because even though Dallas has a great record their one loss it to the Patriots!!! Patriots would have to be down by two games and Cowboys have no more loss for the cowboys to be better then the Pats!!

Hard to say. The way Dallas played tonight against a depleted defensive team with strong guns (I mean the passing game in general not just Favre or Rogers) I go with the Pats simply because they would outgun the Boys and their defense is nothing to shake a stik at. Despite a poor showing against the Eagles and a few players out, They are still a hard hitting team that can spam the scoreboard with points so fast even a healthy Cowbows offense would be hard pressed to keep up.
I know this topic isn't about Pack vs Boys but I have to say that despite tonight's game I think the Packers in a healthy state have a better chance of beating the Pats in a healthy state than the cowboys in a healthy state have against the Pats as-is today. Packers' healthy defense is stronger than the Boys' and a Packers healthy offense is is broad enough to keep up in the point scoring game with the Pats.
Summary:
Current Cowboys lose a close game to current Pats.
Current Packers lose by a few more points to current Pats.
100% Cowboys lose to 100% Pats by safe margin.
100% Packers beat current Pats by safe margin.
100% Packers against 100% Pats is a tough call, I think the Pats take it.
How? By breaking down the Packers secondary over the course of the game. I don't think KGB-Kampman are enough to break down the late stage air game like they usually do. But the Pack has the better chance simply because they can out offense the Pats defense almost as hard as the Pats can out offense any defence, and the pats really haven't had to deal with a brute force air assult yet of the 100% Cowboys or Packers caliber.

Dallas couldn't beat the Patriots and still can't. I don't think they could beat Indianapolis or Jacksonville or Pittsburg or even Baltimore today. So NO, the Cowboys are not the best team right now. The Patriots have one bad game and people think they are slippin.

Patriots by a small advantage. The Patriots have an excellent corner in Asante Samuel and Tom Brady with all his weapons would probably pick the Cowboys passing defense apart unless the cowboy's front seven could pressure him.
Also Tony Romo has T.O. and he could probably do some damage to the Patriot Secondary so long as he wasn't matched up against Asante Samuel. But in my opinion the Patiots would win unless the Cowboys can get their run game together and Roy Williams could learn to cover.

Statistically the 2007 Patriots are almost the greatest team the NFL has ever seen.
as far as "cheating" goes John Madden admitted he himself did it and everyone does it..it's part of the game...The Pats coach got caught oh well! The Dolphins got caught doing the same exact thing last season but a stink wasn't made because they are a sucky team.
Tony Romo in his dreams wishes he was Tom Brady and so doesn't every other QB in the league.
Sorry Dallas fans or fans of anyone for that matter the Patriots are the best team

Wow you are so dumb...Patriots are the best team still.
And No Rosevelt Colvin was considered their weakest link. He was having a bad year it just hurt the Pats in depth.
And there weak secondary? um they have Asante Samuel who has 6 ints and had 10 last year. They also have Hobbs at the other corner and 2 probowl caliber safties.
Learn football then come back you retard.

The offenses seem to be equal but the Pats defense is better than Dallas at this time. I lean towards the Pats being better though I can not stand them!
