..... will effectively be cleared, they can look forward to enjoying Christmas like most children?

And there is always hope that the evil predator who cruelly stole Madeleine will be brought to justice, and that Madeleine will be reunited with her family soon, safe and well.

Everyone hopes that the twins' life will be better with this news about the DNA, don't they?

I hope their life will be better for it.

Katie

What good does it do anyone spending your whole life blaming the McCanns?

There is too much bad feeling in the world as it is, without adding to it

Yes , I do hope the suspect status is lifted for Madeleine's Mum & Dad and that they can try to enjoy Christmas for the sake of those babies. After all, Christmas is for the children.

"God (and I don't pray often as you know.. sorry ) PLEASE reunite Madeleine with her family. Release her and them from this misery. Amen" x

*edit Mrs Sanchez darling, I think that babies like the twins will have sensed a change in their parents. They are over 2 , they can speak and show emotion. I think , you perhaps have been a little quick to answer this one, where as normally you take a little moment to think ... x x :)

Hopefully the twins are too young to realise the full extent of what has happened to their family. Hopefully though if their parents are cleared, it will take some of the pressure away from the family.

Obviously though the perfect Christmas present for the McCanns would be their daughter back home safe and well - how they can even manage to pull themselves out of bed in the morning I will never know - I just don't know how they cope with it all.

I still can't believe how quick people are to point the finger at the McCann's - yes they were irresponsible leaving the children alone, but the evidence to suspect them for Madeline's death is crumbling every day.

Let's just hope wherever Madeline is, whatever happened to her or is happening to her - she's at peace and will be found soon.

I think the twins are too young to appreciate what is going on. They obviously know that Maddie is missing but other than that they will have no comprehension of the circus created by their parents. The McCanns have not been cleared and there is no proof that she was abducted. I am sure that everyone would like to see her back safe and sound.

No one at the present time is in a position to judge if these two "Parents" are involved in the disappearance of Madeleine, that has yet to be made by the legal investigators and it will be,in due course
, It is very clear that an error was made by leaving the children in any event, it is completely irrelevant for how long
,It is the earnest wish of all of us that this is settled in the best possible way, that the young lass is alive, and well, soon to be back home.

I can't imagine how heavy it will be for the McCanns this Christmas without their darling daughter. I am not the type to pray for strangers but I think we all could direct our minds and hearts and a few prayers, just this time perhaps, to the McCanns home and say a prayer for them and for their angel Madeleine as well as a prayers for all those families around the world who have lost their children in such evil circumstances.

It doesn't say that they WILL be cleared it says that they themselves THINK they will be cleared.
I have no fixed opinion either way as to who killed Maddie & I wish with all my heart that she's turn up safe & unhurt. (I don't think that will happen though.) What I do take issue with is the fact that these people left their young children alone. If it wasn't them that killed her then they are largely responsible. Young children should NOT be left alone. I am a single parent in a low paid job, if I had left my children alone the papers would have slaughtered me, social services would have been on me like a rash & the police would have charged me with neglect.
They have to live with the fact that Maddie is missing for the rest of their lives & if it wasn't them I'm sure they will regret leaving their children forever but that doesn't excuse them.
They will never be fully cleared in any sane, caring persons head.

That article isn't exactly news is it?

The first paragraph,

'Kate and Gerry McCann believe they will be effectively cleared of any connection with their daughter’s disappearance after a crunch meeting between British and Portuguese forensic scientists, a close friend has said.'

Isn't exactly conclusive is it? It is the words of this 'close friend' who is repeating what the McCanns 'believe'.

Don't get sucked in with spin and read the articles you so gallantly quote.

EDIT -

Do you really think the twins are old enough to understand terms like "DNA" and "cleared"?
This will have no effect upon their Xmas, as they havn't a clue the spotlight their parents are under.
They are not quite cleared yet by the way, so let's wait and see.

I'm sure we all hope that things will turn out as well as they possibly can for the McCann Family after all they have been through

they probably will be cleared, most reasonable people are not accusing them of murder, although a lot of evidence seems unreliable, what they are saying is they are negligble parents who must accept responsibility in maddies dissapearance.
