Usually you have to get your Master's Degree. Check with the universities you want to attend to see what their requirements are. You will find most of the information you need on the university's website. Go to the department of social work after you get online with the college to get the information you want. You can also call the department and make an appointment with an academic counselor who will help you figure out what you may want to do, and what else you can do in their department. Even if your attendance is several years away, you can visit them.

Another thing to do is to go to the college libraries and look at their catalogs. You would be surprised about how many fun and interesting classes they offer.

It takes 4 years for a Bachelor's degree and 6 for a Master's degree.
