He appointed conservative judges to the supreme court.
They are the ones who made it legal in the first place.
However, it will never be reversed.
No mater how strongly you feel about it, abortion is a non issue in the 08' election because even if a law is passed the courts will not uphold it.

He can't. The best he could do is get a Conservative Supreme Court to overturn RvW and have them rule that abortion is not a Constitutional Right. It would then be up to each State to pass their own legislation banning abortion. But the Abortion Genie is already out of the bottle. States wouldn't do it. Late term maybe in some States, but that would be all.

All he could do is appoint conservative judges to the Supreme Court, which he has done. He has no power whatsoever to stop abortions via the Oval Office.

Nobody can ever 'stop' abortions! Even the death penalty hasn't stopped murders the last time I looked. Abortion is not a chosen form of birth control. It's a medical situation between the woman and her doctor. You really want to stop the senseless deaths of thousands of babies? Support a health care plan for all CHILDREN in America! You just don't like to think about gross stuff? Don't think of the children that Blackwater has killed to boost the impression that they are to be feared . That's the corporate strategy that the founder Eric Prince has said works for him! Lovely guy, that one!

He has done nothing, and can't do anything. Since Roe vs Wade it has been out of the hands of the President and the Legislature.
The closest thing to that is stem cell research. He opposes embryonic stem cell research for the same reason he does not support abortion, it almost always causes the death of the embryo.
He does support adult stem cell research, but that has nothing to do with this.

Absolutely nothing! I'm pro-life and all (in more ways than one), but I'm not Republican and precisely for these types of reasons. You got one party who's open about their sleaziness and the other, in this case, that professes to be for various types of moral and family values such as this one but really doesn't care about or live up to their words at all. I'm sick of hypocrites.

I can't give you actual statistics but I know he's vetoed bills, and refused to sign others to stop abortions. He clearly has kept partial birth abortions from being legal. And as a conservative abortion is a top priority to me but I also look for other moral issues along with it.

He can't do anything, it takes an act of congress or the Supreme Court to stop abortions. He did put conservatives back into the Court, so that is something.
