what is it about sexual activity that brings out the strict fundementalism in human beings, why are they so scared or guarded, about this activity,why is it morally wrong in many areas
isnt it supposed to be there to be enjoyed or is there some dark deep danger lurking amongst erotic activity?
The americans dont seem to be much bothered about the implications moral or other wise, is this progress?

A lot of people get caught up in the worry about what other's think about them. Sexually or any where else.One of the reasons that a lot of people feel that it's morally wrong is becasue of the strong feelings that it brings. People will do a lot for the opportunity to have sex good or bad. I think that there are a lot of people who are afraid of the strong feelings that are brought forth with sexual activity and what it makes them feel. Sex isn't wrong if you don't use it for the wrong purpose.

The main reasons are, of course, std,. All about a human being is appropriate. There's no need to be a roller coster with sex??? Americans are more liberals on sexual activity than other countries. It can be morally wrong by the culture, upbringing, religion or even your own way to look at it.
There sould be some code of ethic and moral, you always need to be protected, try not to swing around with a lot of girls so you don't experience some miseries...

well after considering your question deeply i will have to say that biologically what the americans are doing is not wrong. we are meant to eat, drink and reproduce, and theres nothing wrong if you think about sexual activity as the americans do.
morals are only human made laws, and people do care more about moral respect than what their own heart says. in this mating game, females have the most to lose, and so they have the more passive participation. as any american sexual behavior is considered morally unfit in other places, the males lose self respect when they come into the highlight in any such cases. the prime cause of such an american behavior is because of the activity of females because males all over the world have the same sex drive throughout. so i will say, it is definately biological progress, but definately not moral progress for the americans.

the female praying mantis eats the male after having sex
Perhaps the human female should consider this option
It would certainly bring a new concept of morality to sexual activity!

Sometimes it has to do with religious beliefs and/or culture. I just think since America is so culturally mixed people lose sight of what they were brought up with and focus on what they see in the media. I think it's more of a downfall with the epidemic spread of diseases in our youth.

I would think that sexually-transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies are strong detractors of rampant sexual activity.
