Geeez if you dont have something to care about it would be easy to be apathetic. You could get employed in any one of a dozen very dangerous careers that will get your adrenalin flowing. How about being a suicide or drug counselor on the bad side of town?
Apathy usually comes from simply not venturing out of your comfort zone for so long you start growing cobwebs in your heart.
Yup we live in a crazy world to say the least but there are thousands of things to get involved in that would require genuine effort. I guess start with getting out more often.

There are many different opinions on how to deal with apathy. School children find this very difficult to live with on a daily basis. They wish to participate yet their inner fear will not allow them to do so. It is a very sad disorder and not the way to start out your early years in life. In the later years it can lead towards a variety of disorders. If clinically treated at a young age then there is hope for their future. As an Adult you will find that they are in within the top 5%of the brighest people in the World.

Become a better person? If you suffer from apathy you probably just don't care, like me, it's a good life...very little drama.

To be apathetic enough not to care about a cure, thus eliminating the need for a cure.

To feel.
To stop the fear that's capping off one's emotions so that one becomes apatheic.
To self-analyze what brought one to that state of mind. To take that information and breathe courage in one'd body and mind to wake up to reality and all its grand and petty empathy.
Do you know why? There are no true absolutes. Everyone cares somehow. You apparently care enough to STOP caring.
