Why are you asking this?
If you are wondering if it's medically possible in the human body, the answer is yes. If you have breasts, they can become cancerous. Cancer can occur at ANY age, even very young children. It would be extremely rare to have breast cancer @ 13, but it's possible.
If you are wondering if YOU or someone you know has breast cancer at age 13, the answer is almost assuredly NO. It is normal to have lumps that are not cancerous in the breast.
However, if you have a family history of breast cancer, have been exposed to unusually high does of radiation, or have any other reason to suspect you/she has cancer, please see your doctor right away. The doc will be able to give you a much better answer than anyone here ever could. You can't put a price on piece of mind.

Well there's no reason at all for everyone to be so "omg to the doctor!" about it.
Yes, there is a chance that you could have breast cancer. I will be honest. However, it is more like the its a fibroadenoma. I had one removed in 2005 when I was 16. It was about the size of a golf ball. It came back negative for cancer.
The lump you are feeling will be smooth and circular in shape usually if it is something unusual. I now get breast ultrasounds, do self breast exams, and see my doctor whenever I believe there may be a problem. Young girls have denser breast tissue, which means that it's usually lumpier than older women. Therefore it's more difficult to feel an abnormal mass compared to regular tissue.
If you feel something isn't right, trust your instincts and make an appointment with your doctor. If your pediatrician says don't worry about it and you are still worried, make an appointment with a gynocologist. My pediatrician missed my lump for TWO YEARS. My gynocologist caught it on my first visit.
If you have breasts, you probably already started your period and it's good to go when you start even if you aren't sexually active.
It was a very scary time for me when I had my surgery and not knowing whether or not I had cancer. I felt very alone. If you want anymore information, or just someone to talk to, please don't hesitate to contact me. It's the least I can do.
Good luck, and trust your instincts.

If you are feeling a lump in your breast, it is more than likely a breast bud from a developing breast. At your age it is highly unlikely that it is cancer but likely due to normal development. Is it painful if touched or hit? (Pain is good) Are there lumps in both breasts? Where is/are the lump/lumps located, if in the nipple area I would wager it is the breast bud.
Puberty begins (usually between ages of 8 and 13, average age is 11) with the development of breast tissue and pubic hair. With the hormonal changes of puberty, breast buds form. This second stage of breast development is the breast bud stage. Here, there is elevation of the breast and nipple as a small mound; the areola begins to enlarge. Milk ducts inside the breast begin to grow.
Make an appointment and have a physician do an exam but I would not get too upset about this. Have your mother check the breast and she should be able to tell you if this is associated with normal growth.

yes it is. But rarley teens have breast cancer at an early age. I found this and it tells for which race and age people get it. As you can see the average rate would be 30 through middle age (like 50 or so).
Age-specific incidence rates for invasive breast cancer present similar ethnic patterns. Among women aged 30-54 years, however, the rates among Hawaiian women are comparable to those for the white non-Hispanic women. Among women aged 55-69 years and 70 years and older, rates are highest for white, Hawaiian, and black women. In situ breast cancer incidence among women aged 30-54 years and 70 years and older is highest among white non-Hispanic women, followed by Japanese women, and white (total) women. At ages 55-69 years, in situ breast cancer is highest among white women, followed by Japanese women and black women.

Yes, it is possible, but very very rare... But, if you're refering to the pain that you get in your breasts when you're about 13, that happens to almost all girls at that age. When you're growing, most girls get a lot of pain in their breasts, it hurts even if something brushes against them lightly. They may also feel slightly lumpy, it's just the tissue in the process of growing. LOL, when I was that age I used to think I had it too, but I did'nt!!! I think I know exactly what you are talking about!!!
