I take it down a couple of days after Christmas....it's bad luck to go into the New Year with your Christmas tree still up.....(at least that's what I hear from the stupidstitious people)

Our Christmas trees are usually still up on New Year's Day. In fact, New Year's Night (Evening of January 1st) has traditionally been the final night of the holiday season for us to have our lights on (We consider New Year's Day to be part of the holiday season, thus we leave our lights on for that night too). January 2nd though, our lights do not turn on, and our trees are usually down and in storage within a few days.

I leave the Christmas Tree up until the last week of January. I love to see the lights at night in the dark.

Christmas day we take it down because we leave town for another state and it is easier and nicer to come home and not have to do it for our New Years party.

Depends what kid of tree I have, if is natural I removed it during the first week of January, otherwise I would be stuck with it. However, when I use a fake tree and get lazy I might remove it just before my birthday, in February! lol

I had a tiny table top tree that was left up until my daughter was born in August. It was taken down only because my husband gave my mother in law the keys to the apartment so she could "clean" it.
