I love it when my grandson has tea and toast on my bed, and looks at me with his big blue eyes, and smiles, because he knows grandma spoils him!

It doesn't bother me the first few days, especially if it is spring rain. The rainy fall weather where it is chilly and grey is harder to deal with. I cook! Chili, stew, soups, nachos, sauces and gravies and melted cheese foods! The oven heats up the room, the food soothes the soul, and the meals hearten my family and create a more imaginative atmosphere at meal time.

If it rain's a lot it takes a while. If it rains one day and the next day is sunshine I'm out of it.

a friend who moved here (western oregon) from montana has that problem. she uses a special lamp that is supposed to simulate sunlight. she finds it helps her through the long overcast season here.

some people take the unhealthy route and go to tanning beds.

But I love the rain! If it rained more often where I am at, I'd never be sad.
