I have a girl already name Kyleigh (pronounced Kylie), and maybe having a boy (not 100% sure). Any other suggestions, I like original names and my fiance is hard to impress when it comes to this naming business

Definitely NOT. I think River is not a nice name for a boy or girl. I think of an actual River and it just doesnt make for a nice name anyway. I do like the name you picked for your daughter though. Kyleigh is cute. I would pick another nice and somewhat unique (but not weird) name for your next child to go with it.

I like it better for a boy, but my husband likes it for a girl. River is the name of Weezer's lead singer.
We were going to name our child River, but our last name is Walker and River Walker sounds really hippie-ish...

I like River for a boy. But think about it long and hard....The world can be really cruel when it comes to different and unusual names. Remember, its not you who has to live with it.

I think it's nice as long as you can live with it and can see your child in a professional career named River. Go to vistaprint.com and type it onto a business card, if it looks good there go for it.
