Well, don't watch his show or listen to his radio show either. It's simple enough to do.

No. The Wikipedia page on criticism of Bill O'Reilly
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Bill_O%27Reilly
is longer than the page on the man himself. He is a xenophobic name-caller. Whenever he is faced with an interviewee more intelligent than himself who disagrees with him he often ends up refusing to let them speak (Richard Dawkins is a classical example, the professor couldn't get a word in). I am told that he also threatens British newspapers with whose editorial stances he disagrees (in the UK we have the dubious pleasure of being able to see FOXNews; when I saw The Simpsons' portrayal of it I thought that it was a joke, but iturns out that it was pretty accurate!). You don't see many British commentators on TV telling the NY Times what they can and can't say, what gives him the right to tell newspapers in different countries what to print?
Of course, whenever people disagree with him it is "liberal media bias". Look, there is no liberal conspiracy, it's just that most well educated people tend not to agree with his politics. In fact, if I were writing a dictionary, I would define bias by simply printing a picture of O'Reilly; he is the very personification of the word.

He's not an interviewer or a journalist or any kind of reputable or respected character. He's simply an entertainer for the type of people who would've felt excited watching Christians being fed to lions in the Colosseum in ancient Rome. Unfortunately, some people have a very twisted idea of where they can get their news and opinions from... and they are allowed to vote and make babies, which is even sadder.

I think Bill O'Reilly is totally into himself. Self gratifying asshole. Same goes for Rush Limbaugh. They don't know the truth like they claim to know. Morons!

he is like a dozen editors that first ran into when i began in 1968. those were ww2 vets and kept their military bearing. that is how things got done. so when i was bumped up a little i tried to act like them. we act who is over us from mother on. we adapt step by step as situations change. and end up different. no different for him. just try to visualize how he came to be the way he is. who was around him for him to key off him. bill o'reilly, pat buchannon, tom simmons, bill whatzhis name at the Wash Post years ago. They must have served in the same unit. Boys have to learn to act like men. Which ones they key off of . I keyed off one particulary ex marine office of ww2 who was impressive and a powerful speaker. I tried to act like him. You gotta act your some body. A personality doesn't come from nowhere. You try on one and maybe you kknow it is a little tight so you try another when hipp time comes and you make some changes and it seems freer and better until it is conflicting in some other situation. adapt and adapt until you just cannot do it anymore. just too much bother and you are still you. Bill O'Reilly is just being what he chose to act like. He might make a drastic change at some point. I wouldn't be surprized if we would all be shocked to learn what he was like as a teen. Jock, sissy, intense bookworm what? You hate what he acts like. Ask yourself is that an act? Is he just doing his act?.
