Yep. Only even stronger wind due to the lack of trees acting as windbreakers.

Wind is caused by warm air rising? Someone correct me if im wrong.

Trees do not produce winds. It is the weather that is responsible for the growth of the trees and the movement of air which is called wind.So weather only produce winds and trees.Strong winds only uproot trees and can be considered as enemies of trees.

While all the answers are correct enough, isn't anyone concerned that this person thinks wind comes from trees?

Wind does not come from trees.

Wind is independent of trees.

Obviously, due to the Coriolis effect the Earth's constant rotation causes winds. The wind would be even stronger because trees wouldn't resist it's force.

Also, writersmuse, what are you saying? Plants give oxygen too, and plants and trees aren't the only sources of oxygen you know.

yes there would be wind! although to the prior posts.. O2 behaves in the same way as CO2 with regards to the flux between reservoirs.. Crust/Ocean/Atmosphere. I tell ya though that tree half way up the summit of a mountain sure changes the wind pattern in a way that alters the structure of the whole system.. It is not void of impact as it occupies space, but still!

In all honesty, as long as there is an atmosphere, there will be wind. I doubt there are trees on Jupiter, and somehow there are the worst storms in the solar system there.
