have you restarted it yet? i would hope so, try running "explorer" in task manager, and restart it if you havent already. run "explorer" in task manager by choosing "file" "new task (run...)"

Make sure your monitor viewing area is setup correctly.

The task Bar could off screen.

Use the controls on the Monitor. You can search on the web for instructions for your particular model of monitor.

If the settings are OK read below.

In Task Manager click on File, New task (run)
Type explorer.exe
Click OK

This should bring your desktop back.

If it does not, move your mouse slowly to the bottom of your screen.

If you get a double ended verticle arrow, click and hold the left mouse button - drag up.

If you do not get the arrows repeat on the top but pull down.

If you still do not get the double arrows repeat on the left and right sides ( arrows will be horizontal) and pull to the other side).

Good Luck.

the windows disk has a repair feature, or if you have a recovery disk, might help.
