What is the question to 42?

According to 'Deep Thought', Once the question is found the answer will cease to be 42, the universe will instantly shift into another reality where 42 will no longer be the answer. Fortunately, since we will be totally unaware of the shift in reality, we will never know just what we lost.

The universe is the one essence that appears as everything. This essence is a conscious, creative being. It is creating something out of nothing by having children. Its method is to provide physical bodies that are capable of sensory stimulus and response, which leads to awareness of environment, which leads to awareness of self, which leads to awareness of something beyond the physical, which leads to awareness of the creator and the realization that we are offspring of the creator, made of the same non-physical, or "spiritual", essence. This is the nature and purpose of life. Physical life on earth is a necessary step the universe must go through in order to give birth to conscious children like itself.

Unfortunately, we cannot be given this information until we have matured sufficiently to grasp it. We are just suddenly appearing as conscious beings in the middle of a great unknown, like waking up in the middle of the ocean without a boat. For many, the tendency is to panic. This may be the root cause of all the trouble in the world.

I know that 42 was the joke answer offered in Douglas Adams' hilarious "Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy" series. For fun, here's an analysis of the number:

In numerology, a double-digit number like 42 is interpreted as the power of 2 working through the power of 4. Two is the number of polarities. The only way the universe could create life in a physical world is by polarizing the one that it is into two opposite polarites. Life requires energy and energy requires two poles to flow. It's like the north and south poles of a magnet. So the one that is unmanifest, unseen, appears as two. In the human energy system, we think of these two poles as mind and heart, or masculine and feminine, which are present in each and every man and woman.

Four is the number of stability. This is why we have four legs on a table or a bed. As individuals, our energy sytems have two poles through which they flow. When we form a couple, the energy flows through both poles of both individuals. This forms a stable matrix that allows us to contact and experience the unmanifest one which created us in the first place,, .and forms a portal through which a new being can be born, creating new life.

Therefore, the question to the answer 42 is, "What is the meaning of life?", and the answer, 42, means, "Life is the experience of ONEness polarizing itself into two and joining with itself as four in order to recognize, learn about, and propagate itself; thus growing, becoming more and always expanding."

This question is so over done, the question isn't what is the meaning to life that's to vague too generic, You should be asking what makes life meaningful for YOU, and both of those questions' answers are not simple or few. It is all just a matter of opinion to everyone. Oh and the question to 42 is.....what is the ultimate answer? I think. Go watch "hitchhiker's guide to the universe "

The great answer:

We were created as part of a great vetting process. We are the flawed spirits cast out of heaven (the next higher level). Our purpose is to seek knowledge and wisdom and pass it on to subsequent generations. Those who learn to reject the more animalistic side of our nature and embrace the more spiritual side get to progress to a higher level of existence after death. Those who do not are recycled.

Eventually, the world will consist of only the most evil beings. That is what most religions refer to as Armageddon. That is when there are no longer any redeemable humans left. At that time they will be destroyed and simply cease to exist.

So, we should be busying ourselves becoming the best and brightest we can be. Teaching our children to do so as well. The sooner we get it right, the sooner we will avoid the recycler and go onto the next adventure on a higher plane.

Well, you asked!

I confess I keep hearing this "question to 42" and I have no idea what it means. But since it has been asked 100 times since I became a member of YA, I guess no one knows the answer.

No one can answer that for you. The meaning of everyones life is diff. I believe we have only a limited amount of time on earth we should live it in a way that makes us happy while not harming anyone else. I believe we find the meaning of our lives at diff points in our lives like a puzzle one small piece at a time and at the end we can look back and know that answer.

And here I thought the great question was "what to have for dinner tonight?" Don't you think that this question is much more relevant than the meaning of life?

Anyways, read some Nietzsche and you'll find out. I won't ruin the surprise for you.

friend
the life is not a question. however you may pose a quesion to the life.

this life is life. it is for living.

but there is one difficulty we restrain it in so many isms and theories that it appears to be a burden then being an opportunity to shed the burden of ignorance.

people devise their own values an d make life subservient to them. values are given a higher place than the life itslef.

some people raise question if the life is for values or values are for life.

it is a subjective choice.

The meaning of life? It's found in the bible.

To glorify God is the purpose of man's existence. In that you will find meaning.

But first an assesment of the human heart must be made, because naturally we supress that which we know to be true.

Check out http://www.thegoodpersontest.com and you will find the meaning in life. Then go read the book of John.
