I responded to an ad on Craigslist for a telecommuting administrative position. The response I received was too good to be true. Does anyone know of a company by the name of Corndell Furniture Co Ltd and do you think that their offer is a scam. Plus, how can I verify their legitmacy as they are located in the UK.
Thank you for your help.

What I found on the internet was this.

I would be weary..

do you have a lot to lose? If not, give it a try.

If so, I would investigate into the better business bureau or move on.

The company might exist. The job offer doesn't. Phony job offers in a foreign country, that sound too good to be true, where you don't even have a face to face interview, are a very common scam these days. Accept, and they'll come up with a whole list of fees that you have to pay them to get there.

DO NOT
- repeat -
DO NOT
get involved into anything that requires you to pay even a penny.
Jobs are supposed to pay YOU, not the other way around.
Usually they will ask you to pay for set up fees or some other BS, don't fall for any of that.
IT IS A SCAM!

administrative position? i wouldn't trust it and if the ever want you to pay out money, forget it. i would need more info to tell you for sure but it sounds like it is a scam.

ask for a phone # and then call it from a phone that you know they don't know and ask a friend to call it or look for a listing on-line it helps to do things that are not the way most people do though you will become more safetied with yourself in the process
