Whenever I wear green I look really pasty and washed out. Any suggestions? I don't want to get a harmful tan or a fake orange looking one. What tanning method would you suggest? Or do you have an alternative to tanning.

I hate that fake tanning salon look, too. Here are some great tanning methods that I use.

1) There is special natural glowing tanning cream. It's like lotion. I use it. You rub it just like lotion wherever you want to tan, and it gradually gives you a summer tan glow.

2) Spray tanning mist. You can buy this at almost any grocery store/pharmacy... It's pretty cheap, under 15 dollars usually. You just spray it on, as much or as little as you want.

3) And finally, go out in the sun, if you have any. Wait for it to be a sunny day, if you live in a hot place, and put some tanning lotion on.

As far as the color green, darker green makes you look washed out. Go for a brighter green. :) Good luck.

Go to a dept. store like Dillards and get a make over they can tell u what colors are your best colors i for one cannot wear yellow or some greens so I stay away from them u can find out if u are a summer or winter as well I personally look better in shirts that are brighter like hot pink or teaL it lightens me up or black or gray because I am a summer and a winter, I get my hair colored and my overall color is brown and then I have some red and on the very top some blonde highlights. Try this it will be fun getting the make-over and they did it for free !! Then go shopping !!

Anyone can wear green - it's the shade that makes the difference.
Without makeup, do you look better in -
black, or espresso brown?
bright blue, or bright orange?
silver, or gold jewelry?
If you picked the first answers, you are a COOL.
If you picked the second, you are a WARM.
Cool colors:
white, pinks, cherry red, coral, lemon, mint, jade, pine, forest green; sky, royal, smoke, or navy blue, lavender, plum, gray, black, or silver jewelry
Warm colors:
ivory, tomato red, peach, orange, rust, golden yellow, lime, grass, moss, olive, aqua, turquoise, teal, purple, caramel, espresso, or gold jewelry.
Choose your clothing and makeup colors [ eyes, cheeks, lips ] from your color group.
Wear pastels or brights in tops for most flattery.

I use Jergens Natural Glow Lotion for my body, and Jergens Natural Glow for Face, for my face. Use it once everyday, after you shower, after 3 days you will notice a change in the color of your skin. Use it repeatedly everyday, and it will keep your tan up. Since you have pale skin, you need to use the lotion for fair skin, any other category of lotion will leave you looking orange, but the fair skin one will leave your skin perfectly tan. Hope this helps.

i think green looks good on people who are born with red hair.. it looks cute! and people with red hair "usually" have a red undertone which is very high in complexion ... so i dont know why it wouldnt look good on you? try wearing green eye shadow.. or more concealor...
