I pretty much hate the majority of names I see nowadays.
Nevaeh? I agree, cheap hooker.
Jayden? Another hooker.
I hate made up names or names with bizarre spellings.
People need to realize that the name does not make the child an individual, the child makes THEMSELF an individual.
People are just throwing random vowels together and saying it's a name...

That entire relations of invented names that Black human beings use in the prevailing day, especially for women: "Lawanda", "Roshonda","Lakeisha", etc, etc. no longer to point the somewhat unique ones with ridiculous and pretentious spelling and bigger capitalization. There are some beauties for boys, too, although. How about professional football participant "Lavernues" (suggested la-vern-ee-us) -- Coles???) i have heard that the objective of this fad is to furnish the youngster a individual identity. particular sufficient, i have got here across that after I get this way of "unique" individuals on the phone (say for shopper provider from the commercial employer), the in basic terms problem to do is carry close up and commence yet all over again at modern-day once they say their call, because they basically about continuously finally end up to be so darn egocentric that this is not any longer available to ask them a question and get an answer! it type of feels that giving a infant a recognition they finally end up having to "guard" each and each of the time isn't a lot giving them a privilege because this is giving them a handicap like Johnny money's "A Boy named Sue". yet enable's no longer bypass over an alltime large: "Soleil Moon Frye"!

I think Neaveh (Heaven) is a pretty name. However I hear it too much now. Ever since someone named their daughter that on Maury everyone has to name their child that even the girl from Flavor of Love calls herself Neaveh and now I think its a horrible name as well. I do not think its trying to hard maybe people are trying to bring biblical names back and spelling Heaven backwards was creative.

I'd say it's about a thousand-way tie for many of the names I've seen on this section of Y!A. The last-name-as-a-first-name thing pisses me off to no end. Stuff like Grayson, Colston, Bailey, McKenna--that kind of garbage. When I was a kid, we'd have beaten the crap out of any kids with names like so many of these. Some people need to think this thing through some more before saddling their kid with these "names".
I think Nevaeh sounds like lleh and looks like tihs. . . .

Any name that is spelled incorrectly because the mother thought it "unique." Newsflash: You are not "unique." You are "illiterate." hahaha!
I agree with Emily and Emma, which are No. 1 and 2 or something like that - being ridiculous. I am in my 30s and I can think of NO LESS than 20 people within 15 years of my age named "Jennifer." There is absolutely no way at times to tell people exactly who I am talking about - there are so many of them! Another popular name that for some reason I can't put my finger on really bothers me is "Skylar." That is just stupid sounding.

Someone on here is a college football fan - Jamarcus & D'Brickshaw! Yeah they are pretty bad. My pet peeve are all of the -ayden/ -aden names. People throw random letters in front of it and call it a name. Now people are doing that with -lyn. I saw a Bryslyn today.
The worst has to be Aquanetta (like the hairspray) and Mylanta (like the antacid)

What's in a name anyway? So many people come from all over the world with names I'd never heard before and our kids accept them for who they are regardless of their name. But a name stays with you, so to me a horrible name is:
- a name that has to be pronounced 5 times before anyone can repeat it.
- a name that no one can spell and can be misspelled by too many people so the person can never be found in "the computer"
- a name that the parents don't like because it reminds them of someone they didn't like
- a name that would be cute on a baby but really suck on the Chairman of the Board of a major corporation
- a name that everyone has (Six Alex's in my son's class!)
Why not just name the kid "Awesome" because I'm sure they will be!

I met a guy called ... Cord.
I thought he'd said Claude!
I felt sick when I realised.
That's worse than calling your kid Lurch.
