I believe my mom cancelled my cell phone plan. I'm 20 and I live in the dorms. How was she able to cancel my plan? I just set up my plan today, I was talking on it, I hung up, then I tried to call someone. It said the call failed. I don't get it...

Yes, I went down to the store and found out that it was cancelled. My mother admitted to it. She cancelled it because I moved out. She called in and said that someone used her SSN. She was pretending to be me. But aside from all that, I had it reactivated today. I'm happy.

If the account is in your name, she can't cancel it. If it's in her name, she can do whatever she wants. More than likely, your account wasn't cancelled. Try taking the SIM card out of the back of your phone and put it in a different phone. If it still tells you no service or call failed, it's the SIM card. Go to a corporate store and they'll replace it for you. SIM cards go bad and give you errors sometimes. Try calling the companies customer service and they'll be able to tell you if it was cancelled or not.
