To all those with such sad stories, I'm so sorry.
Zombie, similar, put it off for a long time though. Apparantly it gets better.

p1ssed means drunk where I come from, not annoyed. Just to clarify, no idea why really.

I had to call my work to tell them I couldn't work a 8-hour shift on the day I was supposed to do it. Yea, that was my hardest phone call...but hey, I'm only 17.

That was on November 7, 2005.
I found out I was selected as the candidate to fill the open position I had applied for. I called my Manager of the contract company I worked for at the time to turn in my two weeks notice.
It was about 21:00 that same evening my eldest sister called to inform me Mom was dying and she wanted me to go with her the next week to visit her.
I had to call my manager again and request emergency vacation leave, as my Mom was dying. He let me have the time off albeit he didn't have to as I had just told him I was leaving for another job.
No, I was not peeved.
Mom did pass on April 10, 2005

I had to call my uncle to tell him I couldn't work for him anymore cause I was too much of a drunk. He went out on a limb and got me a job at his pharmaceutical company and I worked their for six months. I was drunk at least half the time. I told on myself and tried rehab but couldn't quit boozing so I got kicked out of rehab which meant I would get fired anyway. He was/is my favorite uncle and I felt like such an ***. "hey uncle joe, I am sorry, I would rather drink day and night that complete rehab so I can continue to work for you and make awesome money. thanks for the opportunity!" Ugh, its been about four years and the shame still covers me when I think about it. I have been sober over two years now so hopefully I won't make as big an idiot out of myself again.....and no I didn't have to be pissed to make the call, I had to be drunk!

I think it was when I had to call my daughter at college to tell her I was going to have to put our 12-year old German Shepherd to sleep. The vet said she thought she had cancer and nothing could be done for her. My daughter's an only child and she and the dog were best friends while my daughter was growing up. Then the worst drive I ever made was taking my dog to the vet for the last time. She looked at me like she knew. But I stayed with her the whole time. Then my daughter and her boyfriend buried her in the backyard under a tree.

When I was a teenager, my uncle died, and I was left home to answer return phone calls after messages were left by my mom with a few people to call back for unknown reasons. I have hundreds of cousins and I don't know who is who, and ended up casually breaking the news to my uncles daughter (I didn't know it was his daughter) when she called and asked "is something wrong with uncle Don?," I said "no, but did you hear uncle Wally Died?"
"My Dad is DEAD?!?" she started bawling.
"Oh, umm, yeah, I'm sorry. I don't really have any more details."
I also had to break the news to my father (my deceased uncle's brother).

Confronting an ex best friend about some nasty cyber bullying in high school. But I was so enraged, that I wasn't even scared to call him. It felt so good to get my feelings off of my chest.

The hardest call I have had to make was to tell my ex's best friend that he(my ex) was dead. It was 6 years ago and it still haunts me!
