I've been watching wrestling a long time, and back in the day, when a wrestler executed his/her finisher, the match was over (except for outside interference). If Taker executed the tombstone, no one is kicking out (not Batista, not Kane, not anyone).
Today, it seems like no finisher guarantees a win. I've seen every finisher -- no matter how devastating -- NOT finish a match. Do you wish that finishers lived up to their names (that is, once the finisher is executed, the match is pretty much a done deal unless someone interferes)?
Or, am I just getting nostalgic?

I don't mind kicking out of finishers as long as it's not done all the time. Every once in a while, when done right, a finisher kickout really works and supremely puts the kickout guy over.
Of course, when done every other match, it kills the finisher. Wrestlers need to protect their finishers, but also know when the situation warrants a kickout, like in a really big match.

I don't really have a problem with superheavyweights kicking out of cruiserweight wrestlers finishers from time to time, especially if it's just a moonsault or something, but kicking out of power finishers like tombstones and chokeslams should be used sparingly

Some wrestlers like CM Punk,RVD,Hardy's,and John Cena ruin the finishers ,because they are too stupid to quit ....
Pointless when a wrestler does a finisher and kicks out ,besides the lame ones that don't do much damage like the WORM or the F-U ... Those deserved to be kicked out ...

i've got self assurance he could flow back to his previous ones. The Edgucution and the Edgucator have been stable strikes for him to apply. The Spear isn't basically overused, yet he makes it look pathetic. I undergo in strategies watching part do it to 3 human beings in succession of one yet another, and that i became questioning how the strikes knocks human beings thoroughly out.

finishers are becoming pointless unless they're a surrender hold like the stfu and figure 4 leg lock. everyone seems to be kicking out of them left and right!!! i'l admit they're exciting when they're hit but finishers are almost always useless!

You are forgetting one finisher.....The GTS. For CM Punk finishers DO mean the end of the match for him. I mean can you name one time in which his GTS has ever failed him? There isn't any matches where that has happened. I haven't found one yet.
