Pretty much every DVD burner will work with pretty much every OS.

As long as the OS supports ATAPI and can handle DVD burners it shouldn't matter what you buy.

If it's an external drive then the USB or Firewire drivers will handle it just fine.

Check the box - it will indicate if it is Vista compatible.
