I don't hate her I am indifferent about her. I could care less about what she has to say or thinks, I no longer speak to her or see her. She found out my father had cancer and in a fit of rage over her 2 sons (both in there late 30's) were in an argument called me up to talk about there argument. Once I told her I was not getting involved she wished my fathers body would rot with cancer. ( few weeks before we found out my dad had cancer and just began treatment) Therefore someone as mentally sick as that I want nothing to do with.
My husband makes the phone call on the holiday and keeps it to a minimum of under 5 minutes as my mother in law enjoys causing fights, arguments, lies, gossips, I can go on.& on.

Mothers-in-law were not designed to be a favored figure of society because they are biased against anyone not of the same blood as they are. Their opinion will always be different from yours.
It's useless to change history. Just accept her for what she is. You can't change her. You have to pretty much ignore her rants and ravings or it will make you a bitter person.

There isn't enough contact w/ her for me to say that - PTL.
My mother-in-law is certifiably nuts. I've lost count of how many times she has declared her own daughter (my wife), DEAD.
Actually, I feel sorry for her, because my wife is a great person - and I said that before she became my wife.

My mother in law is now decessed. She didn't like me or her other daughter in law. We took away her boys, you know.
She lives on though to haunt me.....
I was bitten by a wild kitten that was meaner than S H I T! We appropriately named her after my mother in law:D

Seriously, don't we all? I use the word "hate" sparingly, but sometimes I do feel pretty stong feelings where she is concerned! Move away; far away! Don't tell her where you're going, either. I hope you're not married to a momma's boy!
