So I have been drinking coffee since school started and I dont think I can go without it. I have tried and I get so tired.
Lately I have been getting really weird headaches when I drink it or smell it on my hands. Its weirdo! I havent had any today and it sucked.
If I lay off it for another day will my headaches go away and will I be able to drink it again or will i never be able to drink coffee without getting a headache??

Excess caffeine can cause TMJ headaches and also migraine headaches. However, withdrawl can also cause headaches. Caffeine is a drug; most people don't factor in the side effects the drug can cause.

I know that feeling. There are days when I have 3 cups and days when I only have one. I used to get headaches when I would go without coffee and I would also get tired and feel groggy. Coffee does contain a lot of caffeine, and I don't know how much you drink per day, but maybe you should occasionally wean yourself from strictly coffee.

I have switched it up to where some days I will drink a cup of hot tea such as Earl Grey or Green Tea, as it has less caffeine than coffee and yet provides me with the warmth that I love in drinking coffee. It gives you that boost that coffee tends to provide, and there are even certain types of tea that provide headache relief. The key is to not overdo it, as too much of anything can be a problem. Be sure you're backing up your coffee drinking with plenty of water, as caffeine does remove water from your system. hope your headaches cease.

You get a headache because of withdrawal symptoms much like an alcoholic or a drug addict. I am one who gets headaches whenever I try to quit the coffee habit. After about a week, the headaches go away. Unfortunately, I always go back to binging and am now upto about six to seven cups a day.
