1. Draw I next to Cl and put *x between them. Put ** on the other three sides of Cl and xx on the other three sides of I. These are the valence electrons of each.

Draw H next to Br and put x* between them. Put ** on three sides of Br.

2. Draw C and put 2 Cl's on either side and 2 H's top and bottom. Between C and the H's put xo. Between C and the Cl's put x*. On three sides of both Cl's put **.

3. Draw C and put 3 H's top and bottom and on the left side. Between C and the H's put xo. To the right of C, put O. Between C and O put x*. Put ** on the top and bottom of O. To the right of O put H. Between O and that H put *o.

4. I'm sure you know the last. Draw H C C H. Draw 2 H's to the top and bottom of each C. Put *x between each H and the C. Between the C's put xx.
