Gaming PC generally requires top notch CPU, graphic card and RAMs, not just large ram size, but a fast ram as well
(fast being low access time)

So while you may not utilize your graphic card in other applications, the fast CPU and large ram size does help in making your system faster overall.

That means its faster at whatever you do with it. spyware and anti virus scan take shorter time, web page with lots of flash and other CPU intensive media will not lag as you scroll through them, and lots of other stuff as well.

A gaming pc has a better graphics card , ram and better specs all around it's meant to take any high end game you throw at it.

gaming but be careful if buying from stores like best buy or comp USA because they try to rape you by overpricing the gaming pcs
