2000/t = 2800/(t -- 50) -- 3
=> 3t^2 -- 950t -- 100000 = 0
whence t = 400 and s = t -- 50 = 350
turbo @ 400 mph and super @ 350 mph

Distance = rate x time
Let the superprop go S miles per hour.
The turbojet goes S+50 mph
2800 = S * T
2000 = (S+50)(T-3)
Solve for S by subbing 2800/S=T in the above eqtn.
