It appeared to when I was in it. Now I have a greater perspective and it makes more sense when I'm not disagreeing with the professor or teacher. But that keeps you sharp, too!

Sure, if you spanish teacher is acting like a student and will leave the class for 30-45 minutes at a time to talk on his cell phone and then he leaves his grade book on the podium so all the students can walk up there and change their grades. (true story). That kind of schooling can make a person very dull.

or does it free your mind as the university adverts would have us believe. I'm sure in the beginning it would - but the higher in education you get the more knowledge of the us and them culture of modern life.
That is to say education may up to some point open up horizons is fact - to say it opens minds a constituted version were by one becomes a 'observer of humanity' seems a little constrictive to me...
Libarys are much better than institutions, and the title should grab you 'that is the whole point of having one' ... and children should find reading, reading is magic - not just the ablity to read worlds but to hold anothers concept in your heart.

Sure, its so boring. Im in the gt classes and are teachers treat us like effing royalty unless of course they are yelling at us for not acting as smart as we are supposed to be. And everything at school, that we learn, is just so boring and I can't stand it. Are teachers are like "Then you multiply this, by this, and you get this, and then you devide this by this and get this!" then they pause and stare at us and ask if we have any questions if we do, and they believe the subject is easy, we get lectured. Id rather be not so smart.
