I was taught how to make this symbol by my father when i was younger. It was a sort of connection we had because it seems like a little maze type symbol and you have to be told how to draw it in order to really know how I suppose. If this doesn't have some horrid meaning I'd like to get a tattoo of it to show the bond my father and I used to have. If you have ever seen this symbol and know what it is or know where I can search to find it, that'd be very helpful. Thanks soo much.

PS. I've searched on Symbols.com and cant find it so dont suggest that please.

PPS. The symbol is my display image next to my name or you can view it here http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa87/saraeh_w/symbol.jpg

Thanks!!

I'm sure it is something very old, either Chinese or Celtic, symbolising wholeness, as the 'circles' are interlinked. I think it is meant to be two metal rings linked together. My daughter has just had a special tattoo done for her aged parents, so good luck!

Don't worry about it's "meaning"....you have a special bond with your father and this symbol represents THAT. That's its meaning.

I agree that it looks like a form of Celtic Knot.
