We're playing Rock Band and they have the electronic drum pads that are rubbery-plastic. They come with cheap natural wooden drumsticks but the shock going through them is killing my hands and arms. I actually got pins & needles in my left forearm yesterday from it. What would be the best drumstick to reduce this shock? I am looking at Hornets. Also, would 5B be the best? I assumed since you're really beating away at the drums, verses playing soft (A) in an orchestral setting...and I'm not moving around (S) in a street setting. 5 is standard right? I wasn't sure.

Yeah...I'm a hard hitter. Plus since these aren't actual drums, it's even worse. So the thicker ones might be better. I'll give a bunch a try at the Guitar Center
